Week 9

Check my math...but I think we have a four way tie for first between, The Chameleon, Renegade, Spartan Brian and OMAC.

Could this be the year of the Spartan!?

Or a voice from the cellar cries, "Or is time for OMAC to hoist the trophy again?"

UK +7 v. Miss St
Seems like I suck when I try to do some real analysis, so I'm shooting from the hip just to see what happens.
UK 31- MSU 35

Stanford -7 v. UDub
Andrew Luck's my Fantasy QB. He hasn't done me wrong yet, which means he's good for 6 picks this week. Still, I like the Cardinal to take out the Huskies WITH AUTHORITY (Yo Billy Packer)!
Stan 44- UDub 28

Miss +7.5 v Aub
There's only one person Nuttier than the Mad Hatter. Right on, Reverend. Houston, we've never had a problem with pulling out wins we shouldn't get. The upset occurs in in Black-Bear-ville this weekend.
OMiss 33- UCamNewt 27

Considering what’s been going on over the last few weeks I wonder how many undefeated teams will be left when the sun comes up on Halloween. Does#1 (BCS and/or Human Poll) go down again this week???

It is Halloween, the time to delve into the deepest, darkest recesses of the scariest conference in college football: the Atlantic Coast Conference. Are you brave enough to enter this year’s edition of Scotty B’s ACC Monster Horror Chiller Theater? Just keep telling yourself, “It’s only college football. It’s only college football . . . .”

Maryland (-7.5) v. Wake Forest

Last year, Maryland was horrifying, indeed. The Terps went 2-10 and looked bad doing it. Indeed, the only improvement the team experienced was in the area of Ralph Fridgen’s waistline. This year, the Terps’ offense, sparked by the play of redshirt freshman QB Danny O’Brien, has come back to life. Maryland still has a way to go, however; the two conference wins were over Duke and a decidedly lackluster Boston College. Wake Forest has been stumbling of late, but they have not given up the ghost yet. The trouble is that the Demon Deacons’ defense is weak, especially against the pass. Wake Forest has rested up, but the Terrapins (one win away from being bowl eligible) probably will hang tough for the Byrd Stadium crowd.

Navy (-14.5) v. Duke

The Mids are on a three game winning streak, and looking good in many ways. QB Ricky Dobbs and FB Alexander Teich are providing many yards on the ground; and, with such players as DE Jabaree Tuani and LB Aaron McCaukey, Navy’s defense gives up feet not yards. The Blue Devils defense is last in the conference insofar as giving up points are concerned. I can’t see that unit being able to resist Navy’s relentless ground assault. Offensively, if Duke is to mount a winning effort, QB Sean Renfree will need to pick apart Navy’s secondary. That, however, hinges on the ability of Duke’s offensive line to give him the time against what is sure to be a ferocious Navy defensive effort.

Clemson (-7) v. Boston College

It’s alive! It’s alive! The chance that Clemson could win the ACC’s Atlantic Division, that is. The Tigers might have started slow, but they have won back-to-back victories over the past two weeks. Although the Tigers’ RB Andre Ellington had a banner week last week, the source of their success has been a defense that, as some will recall, did not flinch against SEC opponent Auburn. Boston College is scrappy, and, had the breaks gone a little differently against the Seminoles and the Terrapins, they could be 4-3 vice the current 2-5. Still, Clemson seems to be showing steady improvement while the Eagles seem to be lacking in any firm direction.
