Week 11

After Obama's victory, how could things get any worse?

How's about Prowler 0-6 the last two weeks? Talk about losing your Mojo.

Spartan Brian raised his average to 33%. Well done. You, Fulmer, Bowden and Willingham can all go for a cup of coffee.

Maybe LSU and Miles can pull something out of those big hats of his against Bama.

After careful analysis, flipping coins, and random selection, it is clear that I can not pick winnesr. But... like John McCain, it won't stop me from trying!

Texas Tech -3
Unless Tech comes in with a big hangover from last week, they will win this game by two touchdowns.

Boston College -3 1/2
Despite being able to eek out five wins against sub-par opponents, ND is still not good.

Bama - 3
This is the 1st time I have picked against LSU all season. Maybe this will help.... or maybe the Tigeresses aren't as good as everytone thinks.

On a related note, St. Nick rocks as a football coach! Quit bad mouthing him and get freakin' over it all ready LSU fans! Nick left you and went to a rival. THAT is LIFE accept it - and quit bad mouthing the current coach.

As Sgt Rock, "Topkick" of Easy Company would say, "Go for broke"!
This Republic and my picks now need all the help they can get:

USC vs. Cal (+17.5):

Toe-Jams will win but, by how much ...To bad the Bears are banged-up.

Notre Dame (+3.5) vs. BC:

Vatican Bowl; both squads need divine intervention.

FSU (-6.5) vs. Clemson:

Bowden and his posse of Deputy Head Coaches vs. the Bowden-less Tigers; it's a coin toss at best.

Prowler is making a comeback this week!!

Northworstern +11 vs. Suckeyes

Suckeyes hoping to get to the Rose Bowl for another beat down to be administered by Pete Condom....er...Carroll and the Trojans.

UK +12 vs. Hairy Mutt

LSU lost it's 5 best players on defense and defensive coordinator plus starts a freshman quarterback. So what is Georgia's excuse?

Mizzu -25 over K-State

Now who does K-State think they are going to hire that is so much better than Ron Prince? This will be ugly.

Armistice Day—Veterans Day to many—looming next Tuesday, I’ll indulge again in a salute to the Armed Forces by picking an all-military slate of games. Alas and alack, Navy is idle this week. So, instead, I’ll include Texas A&M, which still has a sizeable Corps of Cadets.
As to the holiday, wear a poppy if you are able, and thank any veterans you know.

Rice (-9.5) over Army
The Black Knights bring a decent running attack to this game with their erstwhile Conference USA stable mate, Rice. This could be grounds for concern for Rice, which gives up an average of 30 points a game against conference opponents. However, the Black Knights’ passing game is wretched, and their average game score is 16 points. Moreover, the Owls are much improved this year with a 6-3 record overall, and they score an impressive 40 points a game.

Air Force (-10) over Colorado State
The Falcons will have their hands full with the resurgent Rams who came within an ace of defeating a ranked BYU team last week. Like Army, Air Force has a strong running attack (currently ranked fourth in the nation) and a somewhat dubious passing game. Unlike Army, however, Air Force puts the ball in the end zone and has a strong defense that gives up around 17 points a game.

Oklahoma (-25) over Texas A&M
The Aggies have shown some life of late, winning two games against Colorado and Iowa State. In those games, their sophomore QB, Jared Johnson, was impressive and did not throw any interceptions. However, even with the loss to the Longhorns, the Boo-hooners still can win the Big 12. So, they have stomped their last three opponents and, in all likelihood, the offensive machine that is Oklahoma will do the same to the Aggies.
