PSU -27.5 over Temple

JoePa took my advice and lit up last week. The Nittany Lions hung 55 on the Rotten Orange. Can he keep the high going this week at home?

Golden Goofers -6.5 over FAU

FAU is playing its third road game in four weeks which would make me grumpy with all that flying. Goofers are getting their schwerve on as of late.

Hogs +9 vs. Saban

Saban was 1-2 in games at Arkansas when he coached the Tigers. Bama should win, but with the Georgia game looming next week and this the first true road game of the season for the Crimson Turds, I am rolling with the fatty pork chop. Pig-Suey, and I'd like a side of cornbread dressing with that.

Roche's picks

LSU -2 over Chop Block U & the Zebras
We need to get up on tub-o-chit and the war chickens by a couple of scores early. That way it will be harder for the refs to give them the win.

Valley Girls -6.5 over Rockets
How long did it take you to figure out who the team is that I picked? If you need a hint, its the team with that gay green v on their helmets.

Troy +20.5 over Suckeyes
U-La-La kept it close with Illinois. Maybe the Sunbelt can play another close game with the Little 11.

Miami (-4.0) vs. Texas A&M:

Miami and A&M both *need* this win; I guess it'll come down to who needs it the most. Miami's defense should keep them in it but, they'll have to show-up for all 4 quarters instead of just the 3 they managed against the Gators.

UNC (-2.0) vs. VA Tech:

I have no idea ...So, just for fun let's see how far along Butch Davis has really brought the Tar-Heels.

Wake (+4.5) vs. FSU:

Bobby Bow-Down and his Free-Shoes squad, even when they're bad, are hard to beat at Dope-Slap Campbell Stadium. FSU has put up some awesome numbers (Thanks Jimbo) against two I-AA schools and will be looking to avenge their loses vs. Wake from their last two meetings. I'm just hoping Wake can keep it close.

Spartan Brian's picks live and direct from The Izzone.....

LSU -2
The Prowler says don't put too much stock into terrible performances the week before big games. I believed that.... but that was before I watched the Ohio State game and Auburn's "offense."

Notre Dame +8 1/2
Brian Hoyer is worse Auburn's QB and the Spartanettes always find a way to lose. Is it just me, ot does anyone else think Charlie looks fat?

Arizona State +7
Why am I not buying all of the Georgia hype anymore?

Sorry to be so late in putting in my picks for this week.

This week's theme? Well, see if you can guess from this video.

Texas (-30.5) over Rice
In his famous speech in which described the reasons behind the quest to put a man on the Moon, John Kennedy rhetorically asked, "Why does Rice play Texas?" After this Saturday in Austin, that's a question sure to be on the lips of many Rice fans.

Brigham Young (-27) over Wyoming
I don't expect the Cougars to run up as many points as they did last week against UCLA. I can imagine, however, that with a decisive win, BYU will continue to cast doubt on conventional thinking on this year's season.

South Florida (-27.5) over Florida International
With an offense capable of putting up a lot of points, thanks in large part to its QB, Matt Grothe, and a quick, hard-hitting defense, USF should easily handle the lackluster Golden Panthers.

Of course, some, especially OMAC, might look at my picks and think of this bit of stellar comedy:
