week 3 wrap
The group was up and down but The Mighty Spartans are just on fire.
The FNG laid the first egg of the season, can he rebound?
OMAC is heating up and looks to defend the crown.
Who is going to step up in week 4?

Shame. Shame. Unpardonable shame.
I'm still stunned--floored, actually--that Pete Carroll's lads couldn't manage to defeat a lackluster Nebraska team. Sheesh!
As to the ND-Michigan game, all honor to the Wolverines who played a spectacular game against the Irish on both sides of the ball.
Serves me right for thinking that Pitt had something going this year based on their first two games. The Panthers' opening week opponent--Virginia--went down in flames against Western Michigan and Cincinnati was abused by the Buckeyes. Apparently, there are only two teams of unquestionably high quality in the Big East: West Virginia and Louisville.
Now, pardon me, I need to examine this week's schedule for three lead-pipe-cinch picks. I hope Illinois is playing Ohio State.
Cheers, Scotty B (a.k.a., Mr. Goose Egg)
Oops. Please amend the first sentence in my post to read: " . . . to defeat a lackluster Nebraska team by more than 18 points."
Another thing: Week 3 presented us with a surplus of "all business" picks. This week, we'll be hard-pressed to find more than a few such picks.
